Hope Cohn
Art In The Village is organized and curated by Hope Cohn, who worked for Frank Stella and continued a close friendship with the artist for more than 30 years. Her dedication and unwavering commitment to his legacy are what drove this project forward.
Hope Cohn is an award-winning independent curator, artist, and educator. She has created exhibitions throughout Atlanta and is dedicated to fostering a deeper connection between art, artists, and audiences. She has curated numerous exhibitions for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, including Selections from the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, E-Merge Contemporary Atlanta Artists, . She conceived and curated SCORE: Sports + Art for MOCA GA and. Beyond Words for the Swan Coach House Gallery. Under her visionary leadership at Spruill Gallery, exhibitions such as Nelson Mandela: Man of the People; Katrina: Five Years of Reflection, and Breaking New Ground: Intersections at the Crossroads of Art and Technology earned her a Creative Loafing award for "Best Gallery.”
Cohn has taught at Georgia State Ernest Welch School of Art & Design, Harvard University Graduate School of Design, SCAD Atlanta, Pratt Institute, The School of Visual Arts NYC and the High Museum of Art.
She received her Master’s Degree in painting from Pratt Institute and her BFA from the Atlanta College of Art. Her work is included in various private and corporate collections including The Neiman Marcus Corporation, King and Spalding, Alston and Bird, Highland Group, Kilpatrick Stockton and others.
In every role — artist, curator, educator — Cohn champions the idea that art has the power to engage, inspire, and spark dialogue. She has deep respect for the creative process and for the people who undertake it. Her work isn’t about spotlighting her own voice. It’s about making room for others, building platforms, and ensuring that art remains a living, breathing, vital part of public life.
Micaela Robinson
Micaela is an art historian with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Business from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts in the History of Art and Design from Pratt Institute, specializing in contemporary art history, museum studies, and the intersection of art and fashion. Micaela brings professional experience in research, cataloging, and writing, having worked at artnet, Gagosian Gallery, and other leading galleries in New York City. Currently, she serves as an art advisor at the Gallery at Saks Fifth Avenue and has recently become an Associate Candidate of the Appraisers Association of America, specializing in USPAP-compliant appraisals for Post-War, Contemporary, and Emerging art.
As an Atlanta native, Micaela is thrilled to be involved in this project under her longtime mentor, Hope. Celebrating a blue-chip artist like Frank Stella in the heart of Buckhead is truly exciting for the city, and recognizing local Atlanta artists and institutions alongside his work is a remarkable achievement.
