About Michael Reese
Michael Reese is an artist and educator who earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Savannah College of Art and Design. Deeply driven by a profound fascination with cosmology and celestial science, he skillfully creates conceptual bridges that connect astronomy with the rich and complex African American Diasporic experience. Reese regularly exhibits his work in both traditional galleries and dynamic public art spaces. Among his more recent and notable solo exhibitions is “Temporal Reflections”, a significant show that was featured in Atlanta at Sandler Hudson Gallery. In addition to his exhibitions, Reese’s work is held in several select private and public collections, institutions and organizations such as The High Museum, Coca-Cola, Georgia Power Company, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, The Atlanta Hawks Foundation, Delta Airlines, and Invesco.
